Letter to Mike
Enjoyed our conversation today. You seem like a new man. You’ve been to parts of the world I haven’t! But I’ve been to most of western civilization, from Paris to East Jesusville, Texas. Wanted to insist that I was sincere and sober in offering you the rights to my literary legacy. Willing to bet ten times your current net worth that I have been more productive in the last dozen years than Rob. Since he decided I was too drunk (Episcopalian/writer) to talk to I have produced a pretty staggering volume of work, all under the radar. Which might actually become valuable in the moment of my death.
I told you about the books at Amazon. They’re the skimming off the top.
There’s me at Facebook. Right now. In your face. Me being me this instant. My satirical graphic skills on display. Also with links to my other sites. Check the friends, pictures, and video categories on my profile. Almost endless. Copy to your heart’s content. Easy way to see the posts that go with the graphics. Ten YEARS worth of topical commentary.
Easy for me to detect you haven’t been to Instapunk Returns, which I told you about. Several books lying in wait there. Things you need to remember. Five years minus one for pouting, 50,000 views, which doesn’t sound like much these days, but I never did a damn thing to make people find it except via FB, where I was being repeatedly shadow-banned, suspended, censored, and ‘Like’ed to death. (Read the first post shown.) At any rate, Instapunk Returns is the place where I provide a broader context than just today. Me being the political/cultural prognosticator. Which I have been remarkably adept at. KEY things to remember. The keyword search function works, and the list of posts after the one you link are always relevant, so remember to keep scrolling past the end of any post.
Then there’s Afterpunk19. Me being me, the writer. Where you should start unless you know better.
After that, Instapunk Rules and the Deerhound Diary. Me being above and beyond what everyone else is. One now uneditable and one in Wayback, along with the ten years of the original Instapunk. Not to mention the first Boomer Bible website and the TBB/911 website, and the live ICR version of the Past, Present, and Punk Testaments.
Before that, the monumental works of Shuteye Town 1999 and Shuteye Nation. (Scroll, scroll, and keep scrolling…) Me being groundbreaking in media and hyperlink technology. Still clinging slenderly to life somehow, someway. Both sites are being reconstructed right now. Plus other fully functional sites you can find by reading the very first post at Instapunk Returns or cherry-picking the Profile at my FB page.
All of these have spun off books of their own. Here and there, they’ll direct you to my YouTube Channel, where I am by turns sober as hell and drunk as a lord, reading my own works, speaking extemporaneously about country stores and motorhead insanity, or just having video fun. Me being narrator of my own life and more.
Two other major sites — Johnny’s Last Chance Garage and Quantum19. Me being exploratory and adventurous in both thought and fiction.
Other other others. You’ll find them in links here and there.
